Can We Survive Any Level of Government? – Part 1 – Jeff L. Wright

I was once again struck, while listening to the Ball-O-Fire named KrisAnne Hall recently at the Meridian VFW/American Legion Hall, by the huge gulf that exists between 98+% of the US population and those with even a smidgen of the Constitutional understanding of Ms. Hall.

KrisAnne Hall is a former state prosecutor, degreed bio-chemist, J.D. and former Army Russian linguist among other interesting past credentials.  She travels the country from Florida giving an average of 250+ “teachings” in 20 or more states each year on the origins and meanings of Constitutional government and the formation of our Republic.  Her presentations are always impeccably sourced, fact-filled and never dull.

What struck me with even more force than usual is how far removed from our fellow citizens are those that already retain the knowledge she distributes.  And how far removed we truly appear to the average citizen.  Understanding the actual words and meanings emanating from natural law, free market economics and of the freedoms and liberties available to us as individual citizens in our Republic, indeed sets us dangerously apart from our fellow citizens.  Plus, recent polls such as this one, should scare the hell out of any thinking American.

I used “dangerously” above because that true knowledge of the Republic is more and more considered a real threat to an ever-enlarging  government and the dependent population (especially of workers) it supports.  Anyone who now displays an understanding of the actual meaning of the original foundation of the country will be attacked in print, in the media and in public forums by many in the ignorant mass of the dependents, supporters and outriders of BIG GOVERNMENT.

Many others I know, have also been increasingly subjected to such attacks by portions of the unknowing and ignorant mass.  Or, they wind up on government watch lists.  All for having such “secret” knowledge at our fingertips and able to make rationale, cogent and reasonable arguments against that ever-encroaching BIG government so many others support.

Those dependents, supporters and outriders apparently immediately feel deeply threatened and fearful as to their livelihoods, benefit deposits and programs coming to themselves or others.  They seem to be completely disconnected from the “American Dream” the Founders set in place to set them free from centralized, controlling government.

Thomas Jefferson once said, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever.”  Whether or not one believes in such God is really not important to the sentiment behind the quote.  There is a day of reckoning coming for this Republic.  It is the culmination of 150 years of diversion away from the great gifts of the Founders and those that have given all that we persist and prevail.

The diversions have resolved into a coercive, hyper-regulatory and bankrupt, rather than a collaborative and prosperous, federalism.  That change is directly measurable.  In 1915 constant dollar terms, the Federal government spent $1 for every $138 it spends in 2015!  Yet, in the same terms, the population has only grown 3.1 times and the economic output 32 times!  The government has grown more than 4 times faster in proportion to the economy and 44 times on a per capita basis.  The Leviathan is literally sucking us dry while we watch.

We suffer and founder today under an unsustainable burden of debt, deficits, pensions, mismanagement, corruption, official, and corporate avarice of a rent-seeking kleptocracy that seems to know no bounds.   The federal government is moving closer to complete dysfunction and disassembly from its own corruption, mismanagement, and incompetence.
